Job Description As a PPC Marketing Specialist, you’re responsible for managing a portfolio of client media accounts to drive lead generation, increase sales, improve conversions and boost ROAS against paid performance channels in alignment with overall client growth plans. The PPC Marketing Specialist is expected to have deep knowledge of developing, deploying, and optimising (PPC) marketing campaigns including paid search, shopping, display advertising (incl PMax) across multiple advertising platforms (Google, Bing, etc) to affect growth for their clients and alignment with StudioForty9’s client growth plans. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working in a PPC-focused role. They will work alongside the Marketing Manager and Head of Growth and are expected to take ownership of managing pay-per-click advertising campaigns including the strategy, design, implementation, content, and analysis of ad performance. Overall Objective • Providing high-value strategy and execution of paid performance media across various platforms. • Deliver strong analytical skills with understanding of relevant web metrics and KPIs – PROAS, ROAS, CLV, CTR, CPC, etc. on all media activity. • Work collaboratively with the other marketing channel experts in StudioForty9 to develop a comprehensive strategy leveraging "joined-up thinking" to achieve optimal results for our clients. • Represent StudioForty9 with respect to all of our ecommerce retail clients. • Championing our client’s business within StudioForty9. Measurable KPIs • Contribution to achieving client financial targets – meeting agreed monthly budgets and consistently high ROAS. • Appropriate use of time as defined by retainer hours for each client. • Knowledge of, and relationship with clients. • This role is a client-facing role that requires you to work on both strategic long term and short term plans and projects. You will need to build strong relationships at various levels within the client organisation, as well as acquire thorough knowledge about their business. You will also need to present strategic media solutions to non-media people. Skills & Experience PPC • Assess and understand business objectives of our agency clients, translating those goals into a PPC strategy and action plan. • Plan, create and manage PPC campaigns across various platforms. • Optimising campaigns on a regular basis using data from the campaign to improve performance, to reach set KPI and ROAS benchmarks and goals for the client. • Monitor, evaluate, report, and present the performance of campaigns by generating weekly and monthly performance reports to agency clients analysing trends, goals, opportunities, and other key performance indicators. • Undertaking smart conversion decisions to ensure maximum effect for a given online budget spend. • Collaborating with other marketing colleagues to ensure joint strategic marketing objectives align with paid ad activity. • Work with Design, AMs, and Developer teams to ensure the capability to deliver, capture and ensure the success of aspects like landing pages, tracking codes, and integration of analytics. Experience with relevant tools • PPC: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Google Merchant Center, Data Feed Watch. • Analytics & Reporting: Tag Manager, Google Analytics (incl GA4), Data Studio, Supermetrics, Agency Analytics. • SEO: SEMrush, AHrefs, Screaming Frog, Search Console or similar tools. • Experience with ecommerce platforms e.g. Shopify, BigCommerce. • Experience of the retail sector. We are looking for someone with the following qualities • Ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems. • Strong working experience in the analysis of data and reporting. • Excellent written/presenting skills and ability to prepare reports and slide decks. • Must be able to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Comfortable working on and collaborating with a multi-channel team. • Ability to work remotely and communicate on Zoom, Google Meetings, Slack etc. Location: Ireland is ideal, but our entire team is working remotely at present, so location is not an issue.
