DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development and Sales leader to manage and develop our Canadian business. The Senior Director, Business Development and Sales will be responsible for overseeing all business development and sales activities and executing on the strategies that align with Exclusive Networks' North America vision and goals. The Senior Director will manage and oversee the Canada sales team in the organization. The main duties include designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with clients and evaluating costs to determine pricing, and developing the business with key vendors. This role requires a deep understanding of the cybersecurity or technology sector, distribution sales experience, a strong entrepreneurial mindset, proven experience in managing sales teams and developing the business.
This role will report to the SVP of Exclusive Networks North America and will have the following responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
• Create and communicate sales goals and ensure senior executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
• Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
• Engage with vendors to become a partner of choice for distribution and services.
• Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
• Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
• Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.
As the Senior Director of Business Development and Sales, you will be responsible for:
• Strategic Leadership: Execute on the business strategies to drive growth and profitability, aligned with Exclusive Networks North America's long-term objectives.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of empowerment, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement with a customer focus.
• Vendor and Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, customers, and stakeholders to ensure ongoing success and satisfaction.
• Market Expansion: Identify opportunities for market expansion, new partnerships, and services that align with the business objectives and strategic directions for Exclusive Networks North America.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards, addressing risks effectively.
• Innovation and Technology: Stay informed on the latest industry trends and technologies, driving innovation and adoption within the business.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you
The ideal Senior Director of Business Development and Sales:
• Proven Experience: 15+ years of experience in a senior sales management or leadership role, preferably within the technology, cybersecurity, or digital infrastructure sectors, and distribution sales experience.
• Leadership: Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of driving growth and managing diverse sales teams.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish.
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions.
• Understand how to position products and services offering against competitors.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to think strategically, act decisively, and pivot quickly to seize new opportunities.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Systems: Experience In using a CRM tool effectively.
