Role Overview
The FP&A assistant in e-commerce helps analyze sales, expenses, and growth trends to guide decision-making. The focus is on turning raw sales and cost data into actionable insights that help improve margins, optimize inventory, and forecast future performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue & Sales Analysis
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance by channel (e.g., website, Amazon, eBay).
• Compare actuals vs. forecast to identify over- or under-performance.
• Analyze conversion rates, average order value (AOV), and customer acquisition cost (CAC).
• Spot trends in best- and worst-selling SKUs.
2. Cost & Margin Tracking
• Monitor Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and update unit economics.
• Work with the procurement team to identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Track shipping, payment processing, and platform fees.
• Maintain gross margin reports by category or SKU.
