The High-level About this Position:
The Loop & Tie Buying & Merchandising team is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Buying & Merchandising Manager to join our team. This pivotal role will focus on developing innovative purchasing strategies, managing inventory, and optimizing vendor relationships to align with our brand vision and market objectives.
We are looking for candidates with 2-3 years of experience as a Buyer, ideally within e-commerce, gifting, or lifestyle industries. This role provides exciting opportunities for professional growth and collaboration. As a Buying & Merchandising Manager, you will partner with cross-functional teamsincluding Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Fulfillmentto craft extraordinary gifting experiences that surprise and delight recipients worldwide, positioning Loop & Tie as a leader in the gifting industry.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Buyer, ideally in e-commerce, gifting, or lifestyle industries.
• Strong skills in negotiation, communication, and relationship management, with the ability to foster productive vendor partnerships.
• Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights to drive purchasing decisions.
• A keen eye for product curation and design, paired with a passion for crafting thoughtful and impactful gifting experiences.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
• Demonstrates a collaborative attitude and excellent teamwork skills, thriving in cross-functional environments.
• Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Google Suite, and Shiphero is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Senior Buying & Merchandising Manager to develop and execute buying strategies and quarterly inventory plans that align with the company's brand, vision, and customer preferences.
• Identify and establish relationships with new vendors while maintaining, evaluating, and nurturing existing partnerships, phasing out those that are outdated or off-brand.
• Collaborate with the sales team and account managers to create custom collections for clients.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery timelines with vendors to achieve favorable agreements.
• Track inventory performance through daily, weekly, and monthly reviews of sell-through rates, product movement, and margins. Use insights from market trends, customer feedback, and sales data to optimize inventory strategy.
• Oversee product uploads, ensuring accurate descriptions, pricing, and visual representation on digital platforms.
• Collaborate with Fulfillment to ensure timely receipt of products.

• Prior experience in e-commerce, product listings, or order management is a plus.
• Excel experience is necessary; familiarity with pivot tables, vlookup and conditional formatting is a plus.
• Familiarity with Canva is a plus.
