Your role: Our Early Career Sales Engineering (BEST) Program is a 6-month immersive technical sales development initiative tailored for Recent College Graduates. The program aims at strategically positioning Johnson Controls’ Fire products and services to commercial consumers and incrementing market share. Through this program, you can leverage your technical engineering knowledge and commercial insights to understand customer product and project requirements better, acting as the go-to expert. Along with it, the program includes a 6-month comprehensive training and development series that blends classroom learning, field orientation, and real-time training. You will gain in-depth insights into our mechanical equipment and services, customer relationship strategies, and leadership skills, preparing yourself to support customers in your territory in collaboration with the sales team. You will get ready to advise architects, engineers, and property owners on product choices; collaborate with and learn from internal specialists, and accomplish business objectives. You will become an integral part of a local sales team and a nationwide network of sales professionals. How you will contribute: • Prepare proposal and job bid estimates in collaboration with contractors, architects, and property owners. • Coordinate tasks with suppliers and subcontractors. • Conduct sales calls to generate new business and strengthen existing relationships. • Propose solutions to customers for their evaluation. • Gather and interpret market data for insights. • Transfer projects to the operations team for execution and installations. What we are looking for: Necessary qualifications: • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a major in business, engineering, or construction management, with expected graduation by December 2024 or May/June 2025. Program commences on January 6, 2025, or June 16, 2025. • Exceptional analytical abilities to troubleshoot and quick learning capacity. • The ability to oversee multiple projects and cross-functional teams with little supervision. • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency. Preferred qualifications: • Prior experience in sales, engineering, or business through co-ops, internships, part-time, or full-time jobs is a plus. • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree is highly preferred
