Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Scrum Master for a CONTRACT (RIGHT TO HIRE) assignment with one of our premier Higher Education clients in Manchester, NH. This is a 100% remote position. Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking a Scrum Master for the Integrations Center of Enablement teams within Business Technology Solutions (BTS). The Integrations Center of Enablement is responsible for enhancing the capabilities to integrate data between enterprise applications. The Scrum Master will motivate and support the teams in removing impediments and achieving their commitments to our business stakeholders.
Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:
• Foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics
• Oversee multiple scrum teams of different sizes and timelines, in support of technology objectives
• Identify and eliminate roadblocks for the team to help achieve Program Increment commitments
• Measure and monitor team progress and performance metrics. Report updates to leadership as needed.
• Coordinate sprints, and delegate tasks to meet objectives. Monitor the end progress of each sprint and ensure it meets the needs of the end product.
• Support and educate the Product Owner on techniques for effective product backlog management. Ensure backlog is ordered and healthy.
• Ensure productive/responsive cooperation between the PO and the team
• Coordinates activities with other teams
• Monitors and reports on the progress of Sprint & Program Increment execution.
• Does not have formal supervisory responsibilities, although may provide input for (project) team member performance appraisals
• Challenge, coach, and guide the organization using Agile principles
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience acting as a Scrum Master
• 1+ years of experience utilizing agile issue tracking tools (JIRA, Confluence, Rational, etc.)
• One or more relevant Agile certifications (e.g., CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP)
• Ability to work in team environments across a diverse set of projects with multiple stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proficient in Rest APIs
• MuleSoft Experience
• Higher Education
