Freelance 3D Animation and Graphics Artist

Job Summary WCMRC is seeking a Self Employed/Freelance 3D Animation and Graphics Artist to support our Training team creating 3D animations and graphics that will bring our e-Learning courses to life. This is a fully remote arrangement to work from home independently as needed, anywhere in Canada. The projects will have fixed rates, based on scope of work. Responsibilities · Collaborate closely with our Training Content Developer to create 3D animations, motion graphics videos, and illustrations that support e-Learning initiatives, following adult learning principles. · Use strong graphic and illustration skills to design and prep final 3D assets. · Use strong character rigging and animation skills to bring these assets to life. · Work in a dynamic environment with a lot of autonomy and plenty of opportunity to exercise your creativity on in-house video output (from start to finish). · Translate technical content (such as operating procedures, work instructions, and abstract concepts) into memorable 3D video narrations that combine acting and action to instruct and delight our audience. · Maintain a good understanding of our industry and target audience to create designs that resonate with our learners and drive their engagement. Technical Expertise · Expert mastery of 3D animation, motion graphics design, and video editing software (such as Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro, and Blender), supporting the creation of dynamic and engaging multimedia content. · 3D asset creation, full animation, and character rigging. · Solid understanding of design principles (such as layout, information hierarchy, typography, color theory, contrast, etc.) and best practices in digital design to ensure a pleasant and intuitive end-user experience. Additional Requirements Five years of experience creating full 3D animations at an animation studio or as part of an in-house design team. A BFA with a major in Animation is preferred, however, highly experienced, self-taught, and self-motivated learners who have a proven passion for design will be considered. In addition, demonstrated creativity in translating storyboards into 3D animations and excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently is required.
