As the Creative Director, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the creative direction of our packaging and branding initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that our packaging designs align with our brand vision, resonate with our target audience, and meet the highest standards of quality and innovation. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer (CGO), you’ll play a key role in shaping the company's growth through impactful and strategic packaging design. Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) design is essential to ensure a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the packaging space.
Position Responsibilities:
• Lead the creative vision and strategy for product packaging across all customer goods, ensuring designs are aligned with brand identity and enhance the overall customer experience.
• Oversee the entire design process from initial concept to final execution, ensuring designs are functional, visually compelling, and aligned with marketing and product objectives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product development, marketing, sales) to ensure packaging supports product launches, promotions, and brand positioning efforts.
• Manage and mentor a team, providing constructive feedback, guidance, and fostering a culture of creative innovation and growth.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, packaging innovations, and best practices in design to continually elevate the brand’s aesthetic and market presence.
• Ensure packaging designs are scalable, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable wherever possible, aligning with brand values.
• Review and approve final designs, mock-ups, and prototypes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to project requirements.
• Work closely with external vendors, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure high-quality production and timely delivery of packaging materials.
• Maintain a cohesive, consistent brand identity across all platforms, including retail packaging, e-commerce, B2B, and digital touchpoints such as websites, Amazon, and marketing collateral.
• Lead creative direction for 360° online marketing materials and digital campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall branding and promotional strategies.
• Develop and oversee creative strategies for the website, ensuring the design is user-friendly, visually appealing, and supports e-commerce goals.
• Lead creative direction for Amazon storefronts, product detail pages, and advertising assets, optimizing designs for user engagement and conversion.
• Design and optimize creative assets for retailers’ online platforms, ensuring product listings, promotions, and brand messaging are consistent and compelling.
• Collaborate with digital marketing teams to ensure all online creative materials are optimized for SEO, user experience, and brand consistency across e-commerce channels.
• Manage online assets for retail promotions, including banners, landing pages, email marketing templates, and other digital collateral, ensuring a seamless user journey across all digital touchpoints.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of experience in creative direction, branding, packaging design, and digital media, with a strong portfolio showcasing work in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) packaging, websites, and e-commerce platforms such as Amazon.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools for both print and digital media.
• Proven experience designing for e-commerce, including product pages, banner ads, email templates, and optimizing for platforms like Amazon and other retail sites.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, visual storytelling, and user-centered design, particularly for digital platforms.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire, guide, and manage a creative team, promoting innovation and professional growth.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including digital marketing, e-commerce, and sales.
• Experience managing creative projects from concept to production, with deep knowledge of web design, digital content creation, and online marketing best practices.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmentally-conscious design in packaging and online marketing materials.
• Ability to align creative work with broader business objectives, especially in terms of growth, branding, and product positioning.
• Proven experience working closely with senior leadership, particularly in high-growth or brand development roles, with a solid understanding of digital marketing strategies and e-commerce trends
Salary Range: $110-150k/year
