SUMMARY:
The Director of E-Commerce & Merchandising plays a crucial role in driving the strategy of SeneGence's digital evolution. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, as well as internal and external partners, this position is responsible for defining and implementing strategies for the company's E-commerce and digital channels. The Director will focus on driving online sales, enhancing brand awareness, and ensuring a seamless user experience. Additionally, this role will oversee merchandising efforts to promote product offerings, promotions, and lifecycle offers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the digital transformation project by coordinating workflows and deadlines within the SMT, and collaborating with external vendors and integrators.
• Serve as the primary owner and subject matter expert for the business tools available through the Magento E-commerce platform.
• Define and execute digital strategies to convert traditional business activities to digital channels.
• Contribute insights and support the development of merchandising and promotional strategies for customers and distributors.
• Collaborate with various departments to manage all aspects of the online experience, including content strategy, analytics, email/SMS marketing, and new technologies.
• Develop an optimal customer journey and continuously improve the digital experience.
• Transform analytical data into actionable insights and communicate them effectively to the team.
• Act as the product owner for the E-commerce platform, demonstrating leadership, innovation, and driving short and long-term KPIs.
• Work closely with sales and marketing leaders to design website layout, optimize the customer experience, and analyze customer feedback.
• Provide regular recaps on E-commerce performance, including goal achievement, sales impact, and recommendations for future improvements.
• Manage the E-commerce channel, focusing on maximizing conversion rate, abandoned cart recovery, average order size, and distributor training.
• Develop and oversee the execution of CRM strategies, including email, SMS, and direct mail campaigns.
• Utilize web metrics to inform site content strategy, product placements, and search optimization.
• Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and new channels to direct content most relevant and connected to our distributors and customers.
• Keep stakeholders informed of project progress, manage risks, and facilitate collaborative problem-solving.
• Manage digital marketing planning and budgets based on revenue and sales objectives.
• Stay abreast of new technology and trends in the online and digital space, bringing relevant e-commerce and digital solutions to meet the organization's strategic business needs.
• Other duties as requested by business need.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR POSITION:
• 10 years of digital marketing and E-commerce experience, preferably in the beauty or cosmetics industry, showing successful progression with operations and P&L responsibilities.
• Proven analytical and quantitative skills, including a strong understanding of KPIs and the ability to create and analyze data dashboards.
• Strong understanding of E-commerce platforms and the technologies needed to create a seamless user experience.
• Ownership, accountability, and initiative in driving innovation, optimization, and testing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage shifting priorities within demanding timeframes.
• Highly analytical and ROI-focused.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Consistent and regular attendance is expected.
QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED FOR POSITION:
• Experience in the skincare and cosmetics industry or a similar field.
• Experience with Magento is preferred.
• Experience in the direct sales/MLM industry is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical requirements include arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard and telephone; frequent walking with occasional standing; may be subject to occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional carrying up to fifty (50) pounds; frequent balancing, bending, handling, feeling, and climbing; occasional reaching, kneeling, and twisting; vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working environment is primarily an office environment, subject to irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
