Position Overview
This is a remote role, based anywhere in the US, where the Sales Director will lead the Energy and E-Mobility business across North America. The role is hands-on, requiring a strong hunter mentality to actively pursue clients and spend time in the field while managing and developing a sales team. A key focus for this position is expanding the distributor and sales rep network across the US, enhancing market coverage, and driving new growth opportunities. The role will report to the US President, with two dotted lines to Segment Leadership in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and grow the Energy and E-Mobility business in North America.
• Execute and continuously refine the Go-to-Market Strategy and Sales Plan.
• Develop and manage the sales funnel in Salesforce, ensuring pipeline growth per team member.
• Actively hunt for new clients and manage on-site customer engagement, with a focus on converting opportunities into sales.
• Lead efforts to develop a rep network and expand the distributor network across the entire US territory.
• Drive scalable sales opportunities with a focus on <2-year design cycles.
• Balance hands-on client interactions with team leadership, ensuring sales targets are met.
• Collaborate with global leadership and utilize strong "Buy America" positioning.
Candidate Requirements
• 15+ years of sales experience, especially in HVDC contactors and B2B electronics.
• Extensive experience in direct and distributor sales.
• Strong track record of team leadership and development.
• Experience with clients in energy storage, electric vehicles, electrification, EV charging, intralogistics, and particularly with heavy truck manufacturers.
• Proven ability to develop and expand sales channels, including rep and distributor networks.
