Position: Language Data and Quality Reviewer – Scottish English As a Language Data and Quality Reviewer, you’ll play a key role in evaluating audio prompts and analyzing data to ensure quality and accuracy. The project focuses on understanding speech and fluency nuances, making it essential for candidates to have strong linguistic expertise. What We’re Looking For • Native Speakers of Scottish English: Applicants must be native to Scotland to bring authenticity and cultural context to the work. • Based in Scotland: Applicants must currently reside in Scotland to ensure familiarity with regional nuances. • Strong Fluency: Proficiency in both written and spoken Scottish English is essential, with clear communication skills and attention to detail. • Language Experience: A solid background in language-related work such as translation, content creation, or evaluation (5+ years preferred). • Comfort with Speech & Language Tasks: Familiarity with aspects like accent, intonation, stress, and pitch is highly valued. • Technical Readiness: You’ll need a reliable high-speed internet connection and a working device (laptop or desktop) to complete tasks smoothly. • Commitment: Availability for the project duration is crucial since mid-project replacements aren’t feasible. Your Responsibilities • Audio Prompt Evaluation: Review and assess audio data for accent and fluency based on project guidelines. • Data Quality Review: Analyze datasets and ensure accuracy, providing insights and addressing any quality concerns. • Linguistic Input: Use your expertise to evaluate and refine language-related aspects, ensuring cultural and linguistic relevance.
