We are seeking a dynamic technology leader to join our team as the Program Principal for Site Reliability Engineering. This strategic role will be pivotal in leading and executing large-scale Site reliability engineering customer engagements, ensuring the stability and performance of Modern cloud and legacy systems and applications by implementing best practices in reliability engineering and driving automation to enhance operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director of ITOps Modernization, this role will be responsible for leading the development, sales, solution, and delivery of the Site Reliability Engineering program offering for TEKsystems Global Services Enterprise customers. This role will be accountable for ensuring delivery excellence and providing thought leadership to our customer’s executive and technical leadership.
Capability Development:
In this role, you will lead the development of Site Reliability engineering offerings for customers' cloud-native and cloud-agnostic needs focused on operational efficiency, observability, stability, and resiliency of enterprise IT systems. This includes, but is not limited to, use cases such as driving SRE adoption at scale, observability design and implementation, and building efficient incident and problem management.
Technical Expertise:
• You will leverage your in-depth expertise in SRE strategy design and technologies and platforms, stay updated on the latest advancements in tools and services available in the market, and guide the team in applying best practices to build an offering that can be delivered to customers at scale.
Team Training and Development:
• As a program leader, you are required to foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team, ensuring they are equipped with the latest site reliability engineering-specific skills and knowledge. You will also be responsible for building delivery enablement artifacts as needed to ensure successful delivery.
Innovation and Best Practices:
• As a program leader, you are required to drive innovation and the adoption of best practices, ensuring our solutions are at the forefront of industry standards.
Strategic Delivery:
In this role, you will engage directly with TEKsystems customers to understand their technical challenges and provide expert guidance and architectural pathways to achieve site reliability engineering goals. You will work closely with customer leadership, technical architects, and project sponsors to ensure the SRE initiative is making progress per defined timelines and milestones while adhering to industry standards.
Project Planning and Execution:
• As a Program Principal, you will be responsible for planning, execution, and successful delivery of SRE projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry standards.
Risk Management:
• As a Program Principal, you will be responsible for Identifying and mitigating potential technical risks and challenges associated with architectural designs. Implement SRE strategies to ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of solutions.
Architectural Thought Leadership:
• As a Program Principal, you must analyze customer’s requirements, understand the current state, and build a target architecture.
. Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master’s, Ph.D.) are preferred.
Professional Experience:
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience in Site reliability engineering or IT Operations
• 5+ years of experience in Enterprise architecture, solution design, and technical leadership roles
• Proven track record in leading and successfully implementing data modernization initiatives.
• 3+ years in IT consulting and IT services organizations
SRE Strategy:
• As a Program Principal, you will be required to provide technical leadership in the design and architecture of the customer’s SRE journey and operational efficiency, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of systems at scale
SRE best practices and governance:
• As a program principal, you will design and conduct workshops on observability framework design, chaos engineering, and resiliency for modern cloud platforms.
SRE governance and best practice:
• As a Program Principal, you will design an SRE governance framework to drive adoption across platform, application, and data teams that follow industry standards and SRE best practices
SRE Automation & Security:
• As a Program Principal, you will design hyper-automation solutions across SRE areas to accelerate SRE adoption, focusing on security integration using DevSecOps practices.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $175000.00 - $220000.00
We reserve the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification.
Additional earnings may be available through incentive programs like annual bonuses, profit sharing, etc.
