ABOUT THE POSITION The Supply & Demand Planner is responsible for maintaining Numi’s multiple Ecommerce platforms to ensure system functionality, compliance, accurate data management and reporting, and optimal inventory levels by collaborating (with Finance, Marketing, Operations, 3PLs) to align supply with anticipated demand, ultimately maximizing profitability and minimizing out of stocks. This position will also support sku level planning for Numi’s wholesale business, including Food Service and Retail. While the company is based in Oakland, the position is remote. The candidate must be located in the United States. ABOUT YOU • Minimum two years administrative experience in Shopify/Amazon, preferably with CPG products • Strong proficiency in inventory management and data analysis • Experience in demand planning and ERP systems, and other data analysis tools (EDI experience a plus) • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present data-driven insights to stakeholders • Ability to identify and address potential demand issues, analyze root causes, and propose solutions • Knowledge of online retail trends, customer behavior analysis, and digital marketing strategies a plus • A self-starter with the ability to accomplish objectives with minimal supervision. • Possesses a sense of urgency, an acute attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. • Embraces newly assigned projects with enthusiasm, works well under pressure, meets multiple deadlines • Possess a strong working knowledge of computer programs, Excel, Word, CRM, PowerPoint, and other MS office programs. Advanced-level Excel preferred. • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Numitea.com (Shopify): • Perform all inventory management entries and analysis in Shopify; maintain accurate inventory/reporting and reconcile in Numi’s ERP (Sage) • Prepare demand planning and inventory transfers to Numi’s Ecommerce 3PL (World Pantry); reconcile inventory and collaborate with WP as needed • Partner with Marketing/Finance to understand promotional strategy and activity by item and time frame to assist with demand planning • Resolve / troubleshoot errors in Shopify customer data (i.e. contact name, address, etc.) • Review, monitor, troubleshoot EDI 940s/945s to/from World Pantry and Sage • Receive shipped orders (EDI 945s) into Sage and review Amazon: • Perform Amazon Vendor Central (VC) demand planning; pull sku level forecasting from VC for each sku/ASIN to determine short/long term demand and provide reporting to Operations • Maintain inventory levels in Amazon Seller Central (SC); pull inventory reports from SC and issue the appropriate POs/inventory transfers for shipments to FBA/FBM. Track all shipments to DCs. • Partner with Marketing/Finance to understand promotional strategy and activity by item and time frame to assist with demand planning • Manage misc. maintenance on Amazon platforms; collect operations paperwork for Andon Cords, carton label verification, stranded inventory, etc.; file and manage the case with Amazon • Track and report out of stock percentages at the ASIN and brand level and other key metrics, analyze inventory positions across both platforms • Partner with Finance, Operations, and 3PL to assist with chargebacks, shortages $’s and reasons, along with other operational metrics like vendor lead time, confirmation rate Wholesale: • Prepare sku level forecasts for Retail sales, utilizing historic data, customer inventory reports, syndicated sales data, and promotional activity cycles • Project Food Service sku level demand through direct and indirect customers • Manage company sku forecast based on annual company targets, review and update on monthly basis Overall: • Utilize historical sales data, market trends, promotional activities, and customer behavior insights to develop detailed sales forecasts for individual products and product categories across all platforms • Analyze data from various sources like website traffic, customer purchase history, marketing campaigns, and social media to identify demand drivers and patterns • Work closely with Finance, marketing, and operations teams to gather input, share forecasts, and align inventory management strategies with anticipated demand • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and fill rate to measure the effectiveness of demand planning strategies • Identify opportunities to refine forecasting methodologies, data sources, and tools to enhance demand planning accuracy PAY AND BENEFITS: Numi Organic Tea offers competitive pay and benefits.
