Director of Data and Analytics About Readymode Readymode is a fast-growing tech company providing a contact center solution to improve customer experience and operational efficiency. Position Summary The Director of Data and Analytics will lead our data-driven strategy, transforming how we harness insights for impactful decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and a track record of fostering a culture that drives business value. You will guide our analytics vision, making data accessible, reliable, and integral to the company's growth. This is a remote position, but candidates must be able to work PST hours. Key Responsibilities • Strategic Leadership: Lead the data and analytics team in developing a clear, actionable roadmap for effectively managing and empowering the business and our clients to utilize a vast data lake for informed decision-making. • Team Development: Mentor and develop a small team, including a Senior DBA and Data Architect, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and growth. Focus on expanding the team's capabilities in cloud enablement, effectively leveraging cloud tools and resources in partnership with AWS. • Data Architecture & Governance: Design scalable data architectures to support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence. Ensure data governance, integrity, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2 Type 2), with appropriate handling of PII. • Advanced Analytics & Reporting: Develop advanced analytics models to improve customer segmentation, campaign performance, and efficiency. Deliver insights through QuickSight reports and dashboards that drive informed decisions and provide actionable client insights. • KPIs & Metrics: Define, track, and report on key performance indicators related to call center operations, customer engagement, and product performance. • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work with stakeholders across all departments to ensure data effectively empowers their teams. Collaborate with engineering for seamless data integration and with infrastructure to improve upon backup, restore, and DR systems. • Data-Driven Innovation: Leverage AI and machine learning tools (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, TensorFlow, IBM Watson) to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. Stay ahead of industry trends and promote best practices. Qualifications • Experience: 10+ years in data/analytics roles, including 5+ years in people management, ideally leading teams in data engineering, BI, or advanced analytics. • Technical Expertise: • Strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, ETL processes, and analytics platforms. • Expert-level experience with AWS data solutions (e.g., DMS, Redshift, Aurora) and best practices for deployment and utilization. • Proven ability to manage data warehouses in AWS, including data pipelines for vast quantities of data (billions of rows). • Experience with data security, including handling PII and ensuring SOC 2 Type 2 compliance. • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as QuickSight, Power BI, and cloud data warehouses. • Knowledge of AI/ML techniques is a plus. • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing technical team. • Communication Skills: Strong ability to translate complex data into understandable insights for non-technical stakeholders. • Business Acumen: Experience in connecting data initiatives with business strategy, driving measurable value. Preferred experience in SaaS, telecommunications, or customer engagement sectors.
