Position Overview
This hybrid role combines direct community engagement with essential administrative
support to ensure SECO remains responsive, organized, and impactful. Approximately
60% of time will be dedicated to organizing duties and 40% to administrative
coordination. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, an equity-driven
approach, and a passion for community power.
Key Responsibilities
Community Organizing (~9 hrs/week)
● Conduct outreach via phone calls, social media, limited door-knocking, and
attendance at local events.
● Build trusted relationships with residents, volunteers, and partners.
● Help identify and elevate community concerns, translating them into actionable
strategies.
● Support recruitment, mentorship, and retention of volunteer leaders.
● Assist with planning and promotion of community meetings, workshops, and
events.
