POSITION: Remote PT Facility ED, E/M, In/Inf, Charges Coder DEPARTMENT: Health Information Management START: ASAP. END: 8/1/2025 with the possibility to extend LOCATION: Remote SALARY/PAY: Weekly pay at a very competitive hourly rate JOB DESCRIPTION: Under indirect supervision, is responsible for accurate coding of Emergency Room procedures, diagnoses and conditions, working from the appropriate documentation in the medical record. This ED coder needs to be strong and current with ER Chemo charts (Injections and Infusions, Hydration's, etc.) and must be able to code E&M facility levels. All work is carried out in accordance with the rules, regulations and coding conventions of the American Hospital Association (Coding Clinic), ICD-10-CM, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Extensive knowledge of 3M basic encoder, McKesson OneContent and Paragon (Allscripts product) electronic health record is required. Must have a minimum 5yrs recent acute care ED coding experience.
