Join us. • This is a remote-based position with a requirement for employees to be based in one of the following seven metropolitan areas: The San Francisco Bay Area Los Angeles San Diego Boston Chicago DC New York City About the Job: Blue Bottle is looking for a talented individual who will play a critical role in driving growth in our DTC e-commerce business. You’ll help craft the strategy for our DTC business, work with the engineering team to build a best-in-class e-commerce site experience, rigorously analyze performance data, manage financial KPIs, and continuously work to optimize our shipping and fulfillment processes. This is a critical role on the Digital team with broad responsibility. We’re looking for an aspiring CEO who’s highly analytical—you are comfortable playing a product manager role, whiz in Excel, comfortable with SQL, and can build compelling business cases with your findings; you have both an eye for design and an appreciation for strong branding; you’re driven by performance, progress, and achievement against big goals; you care deeply about the customer journey and experience; and you’re uniquely motivated by getting Blue Bottle’s freshly roasted, responsibly sourced, peak-deliciousness coffee (and mugs and drippers!) into more and more homes. This is a salaried position based in our Oakland offices, reporting to the General Manager (GM), US Digital. You will: • Own the NA e-commerce P&L. Manage the financial KPIs (P&L) of Bluebottlecoffee.com as well as 3P marketplaces in the North Americas, including budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring • Serve as the merchant for the e-commerce business, and oversee site merchandising to both drive sales and enhance the Blue Bottle brand story. Own A/B testing of the website • Expand and grow Bluebottle’s 3P marketplaces (such as TikTok, FB Native, etc,) and B2B channel • Own the roadmap to deliver the best-in-class e-commerce site. Work with the Global Engineering and Product team to execute hypothesis-driven experimentation, and define and execute a revenue-driving roadmap • Build dashboards and conduct ad-hoc analysis to monitor performance (including subscription churn, merchandise sales, LTV) to measure the efficacy of marketing, merchandising, and product enhancements • Hire & lead the e-commerce DTC site merchandising Team and 3P team. Manage the A/B testing growth agency • Lead monthly presentations highlighting sales, marketing, and financial results; through your ongoing analysis, increase our understanding of what our core customers want and do on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis • Partner with the Brand team to develop, refine & execute evergreen and seasonal marketing programs. Ensure the seasonal marketing programs are aligned with business goals • Partner with the CRM and digital marketing team to ensure we have the right strategies in place to optimize both customer acquisition and retention • Lead the products' go-to-market process along with the Brand and product team. Provide consumer & business insights to influence the product roadmap, ensuring the product roadmap is aligned with business goals • Partner with our demand planning and supply chain team to improve processes and optimize COGS • Own the relationship with our 3PL, continuously looking for ways to optimize our fulfillment and shipping operations. Provide input on inventory buying • Continuously research the e-commerce landscape and online competitors, identifying category trends and growth opportunities You are: • You keep yourself up to date on the latest trends in digital experience and enjoy bringing digital experiences to life • Analytical and data/metric-obsessed, always seeking internal and external data to validate the approach and optimize results further for the company and for your work • Curious at heart: you ask the right questions, hypothesize, and test to find the best solution • You have a strong bias to action. You’re willing to tackle problems both big and small -- the occasional tedious task is not below you • A collaborator who values and builds upon perspectives other than your own • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to prioritize while not letting anything drop • Clear and effective communicator in both conversation and written word • Serious about your work but don’t take yourself too seriously You have • Bachelor’s degree; MBA is a plus • 6-8 years of related experience; product management preferred in a fast-growing technology company/retail, experience in retail/e-commerce, or similar fields preferred • Experience in defining and delivering a digital experience to consumers; experience in ecommerce is a plus • Strong business acumen, critical thinking, and project management skills • Extensive experience with excel (you are a VLOOKUP wizard), PowerPoint & other data analytical tools (Tableau, SIGMA, etc.). Basic SQL or HTML knowledge is a strong plus • Experience with tools such as Ecomm platforms, Google Analytics, Segment, SIGMA, Amplitude, etc. • An innate ability and desire to create strong relationships, influence others, and collaborate at all levels of the organization • A profound love of coffee—while not required, it will make your role significantly more delicious! A few benefits we offer • This position has a salary range of $165k-190k + bonuses. This salary is a good-faith estimate for this position.
