The company is looking to grow fast and to attract small independent retailers to the site in order to increase consumer choice and to enhance the e-tailers selling opportunity DUTIES Reportinf directly to the Board and looking after the UK market you will • Oversee the Operations Team based in China, • Recruit and onboard a team of 10 or more people within Business Development who will look after and develop relationships with merchandise partners, manufacturers, and brands with a view to them putting their goods on the e-commerce platform • Mentor , measure, and lead the team so that a best -in-class service is provided to vendors • Understand P+L and data analytics • Report back to the Board on progress • Be aware of consumer trends in the e-commerce landscape • Visit new merchants where required • Support merchandise partners and help vendors develop a business plans (eg market positioning, product planning, brand marketing, and logistics) Requirements • Fluent Mandarin (essential) • Fluent English (essential) • At least 8 years of people management experience at Director level • Happy to work fully remotely • Solid e-commerce background is essential
