Job description:
We, at Turing, are looking for highly-skilled remote back-end Node.js/RabbitMQ developers who will be responsible for creating APIs, implementing functional requirements, processes and workflows, and deploying RabbitMQ. Key responsibilities
- Execute software engineering best practices for testing, deploying, and developing code
- Design, build & manage micro-services and backend APIs for high traffic applications
- Analyze user requirements and generate technical specifications
- Install, configure, and administer RabbitMQ on multiple environments
- Implement clustering, security, and set up virtual hosts, exchanges, and queues
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders
- Write and run unit tests, system integration tests, and load tests for the application features/APIs
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
- At least 3+ years of back-end development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Hands-on experience in Node.js, and its frameworks such as Express, StrongLoop, etc.
- Proficiency in RabbitMQ, Kafka, and cloud services
- Thorough understanding of OOP concepts and design patterns
- Knowledge of microservices and backend APIs
- Proficient with database schema designing, query tuning, and performance troubleshooting
- Expertise in deploying applications in AWS cloud or Docker
- Experience with different messaging styles like pub-sub and messaging APIs, including REST, STOMP, JMS, AMQP, etc.
- Fluency in English language for effective communication
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
