About the role: At Turing, we are looking for front-end engineers to plan, design, build, and implement the user interface systems of websites, software programs, and web-based applications with the goal of providing an excellent user experience with zero errors, issues, and downtime. Job responsibilities - Design and build scalable, aesthetic, responsive, and pixel-perfect front-end components - Work directly with developers to conceptualize, build, test, and deploy the solution - Combine the art of design with the science of programming by translating the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code - Develop, release, maintain, and optimize progressive web apps to ensure a seamless digital experience - Translate user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to responsive user interfaces (UIs) - Apply best practices and coding patterns to ensure solutions are maintainable, modular, and work well across browsers and devices - Stay updated with the latest industry trends in web framework technologies Job requirements - Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience) - At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a front-end engineer - Extensive experience in ES6 JavaScript and React - Strong command of software development and object-oriented principles - Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery - Expertise with graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop - Knowledge of one or more JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS or ReactJS - Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and SEO principles - Fluency in English to ensure smooth communication with international teams/stakeholders - Comfortable with working full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4-hour overlap with US time zones
