Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing Analyst to join our growing team at our company. As a Pricing Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and setting competitive pricing strategies for our clients' products across various online platforms. You will work closely with the sales, marketing, and e-commerce teams to ensure our listings are competitively priced while maximizing profitability and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy Development:
Conduct market research to analyze competitor pricing, market trends, and consumer demand.
Develop pricing models to maximize client profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market.
Adjust pricing strategies based on seasonal trends, promotions, and inventory levels.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Use data analytics tools to monitor product performance, pricing trends, and competitor activity.
Prepare and present regular reports on pricing performance, revenue impact, and market insights.
Price Optimization:
Continuously assess and optimize pricing strategies for e-commerce platforms (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, etc.).
Test and evaluate pricing experiments to identify the most effective strategies.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with the client-facing team to align pricing strategies with clients’ goals and objectives.
Coordinate with the marketing and sales teams to implement promotions, discounts, and campaigns.
Market & Competitor Monitoring:
Regularly track competitor pricing changes and identify opportunities for price adjustments.
Stay informed about e-commerce platform policies, updates, and changes that could impact pricing.
Forecasting & Budgeting:
Assist in forecasting sales and pricing trends for clients’ product categories.
Provide input into budget planning and pricing forecasts to align with business goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Pricing Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (Amazon, eBay, Shopify, etc.) and pricing strategies.
Skills Must have
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable pricing strategies.
Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Familiarity with pricing software and e-commerce tools is a plus.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Skills nice to have
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
