Role Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning: Assess the current state of digital marketing at the organization. Identify priority areas of focus and map future initiatives aligned to the organization’s objectives.
Platform Management: Assess, recommend and implement improvements to the organization’s use of third-party fundraising and e-mail marketing platforms (e.g. AKA Raisin, CrowdChange, SimplyCast) to support cross-platform integration, harness the strength of data insights, ensure a brand-aligned presence for the organization.
Program Management and Execution:
o Lead the development and execution of multi-channel digital marketing, promotional and fundraising activities including digital advertising campaigns with a focus on acquisition and engagement.
o Manage the organization’s Google Analytics and AdWords account.
o Develop and implement user journeys to reach and engage new online audiences and cultivate relationships with potential donors.
Integration: Ensure the right mix of brand-aligned assets, channels and tactics are implemented across multiple platforms to build awareness and support among target audiences.
Measurement and Performance Tracking: Create and monitor meaningful digital marketing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure program effectiveness. Use data insights and trends to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement.
Innovative Programs: Spearhead new and innovative programs that align with the organization’s goals and enhance donor engagement and community impact.
Content Creation: Create digital collateral that may include e-newsletters, organic and paid social media copy and artwork, and digital advertising assets copy. Ensure all components reflect the organization’s brand and mission.
Vendor Management: Identify, secure, and manage relationships with graphic designers, copywriters and other external resources needed to support digital marketing efforts
Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, internal team, and senior stakeholders to align marketing efforts with organizational goals. Collaborate with partners from diverse backgrounds and sectors to enhance program effectiveness and outreach.
Candidate Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or similar in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on fundraising in the not-for-profit sector.
• Proven success in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns that drive donor engagement and increase revenue.
Experience:
• Comfortable with digital marketing and fundraising platforms (e.g. AKA Raisin, CrowdChange, MailChimp, SimplyCast, Hootsuite) and flexible to adapt to new systems/tools
• Strong knowledge of configuring and managing paid social media campaigns including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and YouTube
• Proficient in Microsoft tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Experience with WordPress or other content management systems
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
