Operations Specialist

Job Description We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Operations Specialist to join our team. This is a dynamic role that requires a hands-on approach to assist in the day-to-day operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and a passion for horticulture. Responsibilities • Oversee inventory management and ordering of plants and supplies • Monitor and maintain the health and quality of our plant inventory • Assist in coordinating daily operations, including scheduling and delegating tasks to the nursery team • Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met • Implement and maintain efficient systems and procedures to streamline operations • Manage customer inquiries and ensure timely and satisfactory resolutions • Collaborate with the sales team to provide accurate and updated information on products and services • Continuously look for opportunities to improve and enhance operations and customer experience Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years experience in horticulture or a similar role • Excellent organizational and time-management skills • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management software • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment • Prior experience in personnel management is an asset • Knowledge of different plant varieties and characteristics is a plus Working Conditions • This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule, with occasional weekend work during peak seasons • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and work in outdoor conditions • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions and be comfortable with physically demanding tasks Benefits • Competitive salary based on experience • Health and dental benefits • Employee discounts on nursery products • Friendly and supportive work environment • Opportunities for career advancement and professional development If you are a self-motivated individual with a passion for horticulture and operations, we would love to hear from you.
