High-Fidelity Compay (HiFi) is a THCA hemp dispensary based in Houston, Texas, with a strong local following and deep ties to the Houston music scene. We have a solid retail foundation, a robust product supply, and a fully functional e-commerce store—but now, we need to break into national markets.
We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced digital marketing consultant who can rapidly scale our e-commerce business without relying on traditional paid advertising. You need to hit the ground running, assess our current marketing efforts, and provide clear, actionable recommendations that will drive immediate and sustained growth.
We have strong assets in place (a thriving local community, a dedicated Discord launching for creatives, art contests, consistent blog, seo overhaul is underway, etc.), but we need more people to know about us—and fast. We don’t want someone to tear everything down and start over. We need someone who can work with what we have, enhance it, and make it convert at a national level.
What We’re Looking For:
• E-Commerce Growth Expertise: A deep understanding of direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing for an online retail brand. You should have experience growing niche e-commerce brands in a competitive market.
• Influencer & Affiliate Marketing: You must know how to build and execute influencer campaigns, manage brand partnerships, and scale word-of-mouth marketing efforts effectively. Paid ad restrictions mean we need organic traffic, high-value collaborations, and strong brand ambassadors.
• Content & Community-Driven Growth: A strong content strategy is crucial. You should know how to leverage social media, UGC (user-generated content), SEO-driven blogs, and viral marketing to fuel organic reach.
• SEO & Organic Discoverability: Since we can’t rely on paid ads, we need someone with a strong grasp of SEO, backlinking, and content-driven discoverability strategies.
• Guerrilla & Alternative Marketing Strategies: You should be highly creative in finding non-traditional ways to get our name out there—whether it’s via brand collaborations, experiential marketing, unconventional PR, or other innovative tactics.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: You should be comfortable working with e-commerce analytics and making decisions based on real numbers, not just gut instinct.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct a deep audit of our marketing presence and make hard recommendations for immediate and long-term e-commerce growth.
• Build out a national growth strategy using non-traditional advertising methods, including influencer marketing, SEO, social media, and community-driven tactics.
• Develop and execute influencer & brand partnership campaigns to drive awareness and sales.
• Help us scale our Discord and social media engagement into a high-converting brand community.
• Optimize our content strategy, ensuring we’re driving organic traffic and customer engagement.
• Provide hands-on guidance on growth tactics without relying on paid ads.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record of growing e-commerce brands.
• Experience in the cannabis or a similarly restricted industry is a must. You need to understand how to work around advertising limitations.
• Demonstrated success in influencer marketing & brand collaborations—show us how you’ve built communities that drive revenue.
• Strong SEO & organic marketing skills—this is key to driving sustained e-commerce growth.
• Experience scaling a brand from local to national markets is a huge plus.
• A creative, problem-solving mindset—you need to think beyond traditional tactics.
• Ability to work fast, make decisive moves, and get results without excessive back-and-forth.
