b19 Consulting is working with an established power company to find a Substation P&C Designer that comes from an electric utility background Preferred Qualifications: • 6+ years utility substation P&C design experience (15kV through to 500kV) • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship. • Strong communication skills to coordinate with project engineers, designers and client representatives. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel & Word. • QA/QC of schematic designs and coping of new projects • AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bentley Descartes or Raster Design experience • Proficiency with SEL or GE relays • Detailed design of new substation layouts using electrical schematics, bill of materials and equipment specifications. • Substation lightning stroke shielding plan and grounding plan experience • Knowledge relay protection & control engineering • Ability to lead a large portion or the entirety of a substation design project.
