Our expectations
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, the Senior Web Analyst's main responsibility is to measure the performance of RONA's digital properties (rona.ca) by providing information and decision-making recommendations focused on optimizing online conversion. To this end, the incumbent will also be responsible for creating and maintaining reporting solutions that will help stakeholders make better-informed, data-driven decisions.
Drawing on strong analytical and investigative skills, the Senior Web Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and communicating a wide variety of data from which results are evaluated, insights are drawn, and business recommendations are formulated. Using web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics (primarily), they will develop recurring and ad hoc reporting solutions that highlight key data and analytical trends, as well as improvement opportunities. The chosen individual must also have the ability to distill findings into impactful, actionable insights presented clearly and understandably to various stakeholders.
The Senior Web Analyst possesses strong data storytelling and problem-solving skills, essential for processing complex data from which valuable conclusions can be drawn for the business. They will also be results-oriented and must prioritize based on importance and urgency.
Your role
• Transform complex behavioral data into understandable insights and recommendations aligned with the online service strategy and programs, as well as with the customer journeys of the rona.ca and renodepot.com websites.
• Develop and implement online conversion optimization strategies based on collected data, with the aim of improving web property performance and increasing conversion rates.
• Design, create, and maintain ad hoc and self-service dashboards using data visualization tools such as Power Query (Power BI), Adobe Analytics.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance analytical capabilities, identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and highlight trends to support data-driven decisions.
• Effectively communicate data across various levels of the organization.
• Responsible for mentoring and guiding other junior analysts in the responsible use of data and the effective utilization of insights derived from this data.
The qualifications we are looking for
• Bachelor's degree in e-commerce, business intelligence, marketing or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in web data analysis.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of web analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics).
• Advanced knowledge of data modeling and visualization tools (Power Query, MicroStrategy) and Office tools (Excel - advanced, PowerPoint).
• Ability to effectively prioritize different projects and navigate in a constantly evolving environment.
• Autonomy, ability to manage uncertainty well, and ability to solve complex problems independently.
• Well-organized, resourceful, capable of learning quickly.
• Experience in business intelligence.
• Experience in merchandising, marketing, web development, and/or retail (an asset).
• Experience in mentoring/coaching junior analysts (required)
