Position Overview The Prior Authorization and Referrals Specialist is responsible for managing patient referrals by efficiently retrieving, organizing, and processing medical records. This role ensures seamless communication between healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. This is a full-time position, 30/40 hrs a week The rate is $7 an hour or Php 45,000 to Php 61,000+ per month What you be doing: • Medical Records Retrieval: Request, retrieve, and verify medical records to support patient care and referrals, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Referral Management: Coordinate and process referrals efficiently, communicating with patients, providers, and insurers to ensure all necessary documentation is in place. • Data Entry: Maintain accurate records in electronic health systems and log all referral and retrieval activities. • Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and organizational policies to protect patient confidentiality. • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for referral inquiries, collaborating with healthcare teams to address issues and improve workflows. • Quality Assurance: Review and audit records to ensure accuracy, suggesting process improvements for greater efficiency.
