American Humane is seeking an experienced Director, Corporate & Foundation Partnerships. This position will be hybrid and reports directly to the Associate Vice President, Corporate & Cause Marketing. Position summary: The Director, Corporate & Foundation Partnerships is responsible for securing diverse sources of revenue, including philanthropic giving, cause marketing, workplace giving and sponsorships from existing and prospective companies, corporate foundations, and other institutions. With a focus on generating new corporate, cause marketing and foundation partnerships and lead generation, the Director, will play a critical role in diversifying American Humane’s corporate and foundation philanthropy and strategic growth goals. Responsible for soliciting and closing six- and seven-figure gifts, the Director will design and execute a fundraising strategy to build and grow their own portfolio, and as the team grows, will lead future team members to do the same for their portfolios. The person in this position will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop and implement funding opportunities at the five-, six-, and seven figure levels. Essential experience, knowledge, skills and abilities: • Bachelor’s Degree • Six to eight years proven experience in corporate and foundation fundraising, cause marketing, and business development. • Ability to successfully cultivate and solicit and secure six and seven figure gifts. • Exceptional oral and written communication skills. • Ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations from scratch. • Ability to shift gears quickly and manage multiple priorities. • Understanding of cause marketing best practices and BBB guidelines. • Able to work well both independently, with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as part of a team. • Highly skilled at building internal and external relationships. • Exhibits sound judgement, discretion, diplomacy and professionalism. • A passion for the American Humane mission and the animals and people we serve. • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Teams, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. • Experience with or ability to quickly learn Raiser’s Edge fundraising software and new technology. Compensation: $120,000 to $135,000 annually, depending on experience
