All applications for this role will be considered; however, only short-listed candidates will be contacted IT Governance Risk and Compliance Consultant Type: Contract (1 year) | Part-time (approx. 15 hours/weekly) | Remote work Location: Remote Office Environment Compensation: Hourly Rate to commensurate with experience Position Overview: As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced IT Governance Risk and Compliance Consultant to support our product and service expansion while maintaining our reputation for exceptional service. As a part-time IT Governance Risk and Compliance Officer at Datolite Solutions, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization adheres to SOC 2 Type 2 compliance standards. This role involves assessing, implementing, and monitoring security measures to protect our sensitive information and systems. You will work closely with our IT and compliance teams to maintain and enhance our security posture. Responsibilities: • SOC 2 Compliance: Ensure ongoing compliance with SOC 2 Type 2 standards by developing, implementing, and monitoring security policies and procedures. • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and address potential security threats. • Incident Response: Manage and respond to security incidents, including investigating breaches and mitigating risks. • Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of security practices, compliance activities, and incident reports. • Training: Provide security training and guidance to employees to promote awareness and adherence to best practices. • Audit Support: Prepare and support internal and external audits related to SOC 2 compliance. Qualifications: • Experience: Proven experience in security roles with a strong background in SOC 2 Type 2 compliance. Previous experience in IT security or related fields is preferred. • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable. • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of SOC 2 Type 2 requirements, security frameworks, and best practices. • Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
