Financial Controller - Apparel & E-commerce Experience

Description: • Gotyu Underwear, the fastest growing underwear brand in Europe, is looking for a detailed-oriented, experienced and pro-active Financial Controller & Bookkeeper. • You will work closely with the founders to help the company achieve its revenue and profit goals. • Key tasks include developing detailed financial forecasts, managing P&L statements, and providing insights to improve financial performance. • The role involves ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and managing cash flow effectively. • You will utilize Finaloop software to maintain accurate financial records and provide strategic insights. Requirements: • Master's Degree or equivalent in Financial Controlling, Accounting, or related field with 2+ years of experience. • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Bookkeeper, or similar role in the e-commerce sector. • Demonstrated success working for an e-commerce brand managing over 800 SKUs. • Experience in fashion e-commerce is a significant plus. • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Proficiency in financial forecasting, profit optimization, and cash flow management. • Familiarity with Finaloop or similar financial software. • In-depth knowledge of U.S. financial regulations and best practices for e-commerce businesses. • Expert-level proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools. • Strong understanding of inventory management and its financial implications. • Knowledge of international tax regulations and transfer pricing. • Ability to develop and implement financial controls and risk management strategies. • Experience in preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP. • Strong communication skills to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders. • Proactive problem-solving approach and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Certification such as CPA, CMA, or CIMA is highly desirable. • Fluency in English is required; German language skills are a plus.
