The Role As Manager within our IT organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the IT Operations Center, which provides 24/7 support for the IT infrastructure and services of our organization and includes the major incident management team, which handles the resolution of critical incidents that affect the business continuity and customer satisfaction. Location This role is designated as a fully remote position within the United States. The Main Responsibilities • As an IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the IT operations center, which provides 24/7 support for the IT infrastructure and services of our organization. • You will also lead the major incident management team, which handles the resolution of critical incidents that affect business continuity and customer satisfaction. • You will work closely with other IT managers, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the alignment of IT operations with the business objectives and strategies. • You will also monitor the performance, availability, and reliability of the IT systems and services, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of the IT operations. What We Look For in a Candidate Required Qualifications: • Preferred three to five years of experience in IT operations management or lead position, preferably in a large and complex IT environment or similar Team Lead experience. • Preferred experience in leading and managing IT operations center and major incident management teams or similar experience. • Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks and best practices, such as ITIL • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Effective performance management of all staff, including objectives setting and development plans Preferred Qualifications: • Build good relationships with our clients, peer managers and other Lumen teams through appropriate communication and teamwork. • Must have excellent interpersonal, written, presentation and communication skills • Strong quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills, with demonstrated ability to determine root cause to performance shortfalls and implement corrective actions • Ability to develop effective key collaborative relationships across organizational boundaries and experience working within and managing virtual teams • Ability to develop and motivate employees to do what it takes to get things done, set an example by embodying Lumen’s unifying principles • Certifications in IT service management are a plus. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications. Location Based Pay Ranges $94,420 - $125,890 in these states: AR ID KY LA ME MS NE SC SD $99,390 - $132,510 in these states: AL AZ FL GA IA IN KS MO MT ND NM OH OK PA TN UT VT WI WV WY $104,360 - $139,140 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI $109,330 - $145,770 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
