About HR Tech department Overview Givery aims to provide the missing link that our clients need to scout, hire, and train world-class engineers. We are profitable, privately owned, and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Our clients include some of the biggest names in the Japanese tech and gaming industry. We have a diverse team from all corners of the world and we are looking for a skilled full stack engineer to help us expand track, a platform that helps companies evaluate technical skills of engineers. Responsibilities • Develop and Maintain Applications Design and implement server and client applications using the .NET Framework and related technologies. • Architect Backend Systems Lead the design of scalable and maintainable backend architectures utilizing design patterns like Controller-Service-Repository, dependency injection, and decorators. • Translate Requirements into Solutions Convert user stories and mockups into functional, user-friendly software that meets or exceeds expectations. • Ensure Code Quality Conduct thorough code reviews, and introduce processes that enhance code quality and maintainability. • Collaborate on Product Development Work closely with product teams to clarify requirements, provide technical insights, and deliver solutions aligned with customer needs. • Monitor and Maintain System Stability Proactively monitor systems, respond swiftly to issues, and ensure the continuous, stable operation of services. Technology Stack • Serverside: C#, .NET • Frontend: React, Typescript, VueJS • Database: PostgreSQL (RDS) • Infrastructure: AWS(ALB, ECS, RDS, S3, Lambda), Docker, Redis, Terraform What we're up to We’re the creators of the award winning skill evaluation and training platform 'Track'. We are currently tackling the exciting mission of modernizing Japan's hiring culture and help companies build and maintain strong engineering teams. Through this year and beyond we plan to expand our product lineup, enhance our UI/UX, roll out lots of new microservices, and build new features which we hope you’ll be a big part in the planning and building. Application Requirements Must have • 3+ years of experience with .NET Core and .NET Framework • Understanding of Razor syntax and the ability to create and manage Razor views • Experience with Entity Framework Core or other ORM tools • Experience with modern Typescript/ES6+ and VueJS framework • Understanding of why, when and how to write automated tests • Demonstrable ability to develop modern and beautiful web applications • Business level language skills in English Nice-to-have • Basic knowledge of Figma for smooth collaboration with designers • Spoken and written Japanese language ability Work style Weekly Meetings (usually averages to around 1 hour per day for an engineer): • 4-5 daily stand ups lasting a maximum 15 minutes • 2-3 hours worth of agile meetings (Sprint planning, backlog clarification, sprint retrospective, sprint review (we call this dogfooding) • Any other meeting relating to a project (usually 1 or 2 hours) Technical Work (is up to the discretion of the engineer, we don’t dictate how they spend their time) • Programming and planning (technical documentation) is the majority of an engineers time • People usually do peer reviews before or after lunch • Technical improvements depending on your team’s priority Benefit • Health Insurance • Transportation allowance (up to 30,000 yen per month) • Family allowance (10,000 yen per month per dependent child up to age 18) • In-house bar, free drinks Vacations • Two days off per week (Saturday and Sunday) • Japanese national holidays • Paid holiday: 10 days (first year) *Number of paid holidays increases (+1 day) every year up to 20 days a year.
