Senior GL Accountant Leader

Cobden & Carter International is seeking an experienced Senior GL Accountant to join our team in the Philippines. This role will be responsible for overseeing General Ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data, and providing supervision to finance staff. Job Description We are looking for a highly skilled and organized individual to lead our General Ledger team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, with a strong background in accounting and auditing. They will be responsible for reviewing cash advances, reimbursements, and replenishments, as well as preparing monthly financial statements and spending analyses for statutory reporting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and finalizing the annual budget, verifying AP payment transactions, and managing statutory remittances. Additionally, they will act as the primary contact for internal and external audits and continuously improve accounting practices. Key Responsibilities: • Lead monthly financial closing and ensure global timelines for Afni Philippines are met. • Review cash advances, reimbursements, and replenishments to ensure documentation and budget compliance. • Prepare monthly financial statements and spending analyses for statutory reporting (BIR, PEZA, SEC). • Develop and finalize the annual budget, incorporating trends and new plans/projects. • Verify AP payment transactions (payroll, vendor, government, employee non-payroll) in Digibanker. • Manage and review statutory remittances (SSS, Pag-ibig, Philhealth, BIR). • Act as primary contact for internal and external audits (financial and tax). • Continuously improve accounting practices and provide supervision/coaching to finance staff. Requirements: • Certified Public Accountant • Bachelor's/College Degree in Accountancy • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, with a strong background in accounting and auditing • Experience leading/supervising a group of personnel for at least 3 years • Experience in BPO/Call Center/Shared Services industry • Audit experience of at least 2 years • Knowledge and experience of compliance reporting and remittance requirements for SEC, BIR, and PEZA/BOI • Good knowledge of Procurement functions and activities • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word • Strong presentation, verbal communication, and written communication skills • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work with shifting priorities Salary: PHP 120,000 - PHP 180,000 per month
