Grow Your Career with NTT DATA The Senior Data Centre Technical Architect is an advanced accountable for designing and implementing the infrastructure and systems of a data center, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translating them into efficient and reliable data center solutions as part of the pre-sales process. What you'll be doing Key Responsibilities: Designs and architects the infrastructure of data center, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, power and cooling systems, and physical security measures. Evaluates and recommends complex data center services, aligning them with business requirements and ensuring security and compliance. Analyzes, develops and recommends long-term strategic plans to ensure data center meets current and future requirements. Viewed as a trusted technical advisor to the client and provide technical guidance to development teams during the implementation of collaborative solutions. Develops and implements network architectures, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. Designs and optimizes virtualized environments using technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM Provides pre-sales technical support and expertise in analyzing client requirements, in conjunction with the client’s current data center capabilities. Ensures technical solutions will accomplish the client's objectives. Works with internal stakeholders to produce a technical specification for the custom development and systems integration requirements for the solution. Develops or produces the technical design document to match the solution design specifications. Working with the relevant internal stakeholders, participate or lead in scope of work determination, product pricing and RFP/RFI responses. Provides recommendations on the determination of outsourcing, product pricing and collaborates with others to develop an implementation solution. Creates comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Responsible for influencing and guiding members of the Sales team and to ensure that they are equipped to close deals and maintain visibility of forecasting and sales pipeline in order to influence potential deals. Manages client proof of concept (POC) initiatives, which will require the involvement of the appropriate resources, and setup and delivery of the POC. On all assigned engagements, owns the proposed solution and transitions the build / implementation to the delivery team. Specifically relating to opportunity pursuit this role will evaluate each opportunity for alignment with organizational capabilities and business policy, prepare the executive summary that outlines all of the information gathered from the client in regard to their needs, as understood, document the proposed technology solution, document the statement of work along with all labor requirements, work with the relevant internal stakeholders to prepare the pricing format that will be supplied to the customer, perform the actual solution design and prepare a parts list outlining equipment to be provided, develop and manage a proof-of-concept as such may be required, engage all technical resources required for an accurate solution design, prepare a network diagram outlining the proposed solution, document all deliverables and what constitutes a successful completion, review the final parts list as supplied and submit all information to the applicable bid team for final assembly, verify the proposal’s accuracy and sign off on the final documents to be presented to the client, assist during the final presentation to the client as appropriate. Knowledge and Attributes: Advanced client engagement skills coupled with advance technical consulting ability. Good understanding of the vendor’s products business and technology positioning. Advanced knowledge of data center infrastructure components, networking technologies, virtualization, and cloud computing platforms. Advanced understanding of data center security principles, compliance standards, and best practices. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, contributing to their success. Advanced product knowledge integrated with technology understanding. Advanced understanding network protocols, topologies and security. Advanced proficiency in designing and implementing network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and virtual networking technologies. Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and network security is important. Advanced expertise in server and storage technologies such as virtualization, blade servers, storage area networks (SAN), network-attached storage (NAS), and data backup and recovery systems. Advanced familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services, including infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), and software-as-a-service (SaaS). Advanced knowledge of cloud architecture, deployment models, and security considerations is crucial. Advanced understanding how to design and optimize virtualized environments for performance, scalability, and reliability is essential. Advanced knowledge of data center security principles and best practices, including physical security measures, network security, access controls, and vulnerability management. Understanding compliance standards such as PCI DSS or HIPAA Basic understanding of key vendor subscription models such as Cisco EA 3.0. Academic Qualifications and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or information systems or a related field. Certification and working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies (for example, TOGAF, Zachman, SOA, ITIL, COBIT, etc.). Software and programming languages, for example, C++. SAFe Scaled Agile certification advantageous. Vendor product, sales and technology certifications. Required Experience: Advanced demonstrable professional technical experience within a large scale (preferably multi-national) technology services environment. Advanced experience with virtualization technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM. Advanced experience as a Data Centre Technical Architect or similar role, designing and implementing data center infrastructure solutions. Advanced experience in project management methodologies advantageous.
