About the team | Ko te rōpū nei The Community Funding Team coordinates and oversees the Council's community funding schemes. This includes providing advice, guidance and support to community organisations and staff across the organisation who complete funding assessments for Council grants. About the role | Ko te mahi nei The Support Officer provides high quality business support services to enable smooth, efficient and effective running of the Community Funding team. They do this by: • Processing funding applications • Managing enquiries from community organisations • Providing administrative support to the Community Funding team • Support and administrative assistance to Elected Members • Managing documents and databases related to community funding About you | Ko Koe Tēnei Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience providing support to a team, ideally in a community-orientated organisation with exposure to grant applications, however this is not essential. They will have great attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, and be able to pick up new technologies and systems with ease. Thursday and Friday 8 hours. Position - Permanent Location - This position is primarily based at 180 Smith Street, Christchurch 8062 Salary - The hourly rate for this position goes from $31.49 to $34.99 per hour. Starting rates will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
