We are looking for a talented and experienced 3D texture artist to join the group. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience creating high-quality textures for a variety of 3D models, including characters, environments, and props.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Collaborate with 3D modelers, animators, and art directors to understand the visual style and requirements of projects.
• Create high-quality textures and materials for 3D models using industry-standard software such as Substance Painter, Photoshop, or similar tools.
• Develop detailed texture maps, including diffuse, specular, normal, and displacement maps, to enhance the realism of 3D assets.
• Apply texturing and material techniques that align with project objectives, whether for gaming, animation, or visual effects.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve texturing and material challenges to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest 3D texturing technologies and trends.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in computer graphics, digital art, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience creating high-quality textures for 3D models
• Strong understanding of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) principles and workflows.
• Excellent artistic and technical skills, including an eye for detail and texture design.
• Proficiency in 3D texturing and material creation software such as Substance Painter, Mari, or equivalent.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in creating textures and materials for specific platforms (e.g., gaming consoles, VR/AR).
• Familiarity with shader programming or scripting for texturing and materials.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and animation principles.
• Experience with other aspects of 3D asset creation, such as modeling or lighting.
• Proficiency in additional 3D software tools (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max).
