Role Overview
We are looking for a Photo Manager to join our team! This person will help the E-commerce Art Director lead E-commerce photo production for two brands - Splendid and Florence by Mills. The Ideal candidate will support the E-commerce Art Director in producing high volume photographic workflows, reducing the operational cost while improving the quality of imagery produced. This person is passionate about image making, is a team player, is tech savvy, and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty in any aspect of the production process (from the potential to leading a photoshoot, to processing invoices, micro concepting or even packing samples).
Responsibilities
• Assist the E-commerce Art Director in overseeing photoshoot productions for two brands.
• Plan and schedule photoshoots to align with marketing initiatives and product launches.
• Lead photoshoots as needed, ensuring they meet creative and technical standards.
• Review and select images from photoshoots, ensuring proper cropping and presentation.
• Manage logistics for photoshoots, including coordinating photographers, hair/makeup artists, talent, and studio arrangements.
• Handle outreach to models and agencies to secure talent for photoshoots.
• Oversee sample management, ensuring timely receipt and coordination of samples based on expected delivery dates.
• Produce and distribute call sheets for photoshoots.
• Coordinate with retouching vendors for E-commerce, campaign imagery, and select video content.
• Provide retouching feedback based on design notes and color swatches.
• Support the creation of style decks, offering insights and guidance on styling.
• Manage digital assets, including archiving, backup, file distribution, and organizational systems.
• Ensure consistent execution of color correction and retouching across all imagery, including E-commerce, campaign, ghost, iPhone content, and lifestyle flat photography.
• Manage photoshoot budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost tracking.
• Perform additional tasks to support the team’s workflow as needed.
Requirements
• A relevant portfolio showcasing your photography, styling, or art direction experience.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• A positive, proactive attitude and ability to take initiative.
• A keen eye for composition, styling, and visual storytelling.
• Comfortable leading photoshoots and styling sessions when required.
• Expert proficiency in Photoshop and color correction, with the ability to make adjustments during presentations.
• Ability to pass a color correction and retouching assessment.
• Strong knowledge of Excel for budgeting and data management.
• Expertise in Capture One for photo editing and asset management.
• Experience with FTP and InDesign is a plus.
• Adaptable, with the ability to handle a variety of creative tasks and responsibilities.
• Capable of working independently or as part of a collaborative team.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to downtown Los Angeles.
This is a hybrid role, with 4 days in our studio, this will vary week to week depending on shoot schedules/deadlines
PAY RATE: $40.00/hr - $50.00/hr
