A Brief Overview Under limited supervision, work with Valuation staff (locally and with local international offices) in the Production and Process Improvement role, produce actuarial projections, and provide business data, assumptions, and modeling support. Collaborate cross-functionally (e.g. Valuation, Global Support, and IT) to implement strategies and standards, and to enable advancement and integration of RGA processes and systems. Ensure data and processes integrity within the Valuation platform and with areas outside Valuation to maximize platform efficiency and minimize the disruptions to the actuarial reporting process. What you will do Prioritizes, produces, validates, and delivers model operation, development, and support in ADAM system according to business needs and system capacity. Develops unbiased projections for financial planning and analysis and assists with communication of financial analytics and results in terms of major drivers of variance. Serves as a liaison with global valuation, pricing, administration, systems architecture, support, audit, and IT departments. Work with Valuation associates globally to support the adoption of enhanced business processes and system capabilities. Develop advanced understanding of RGA’s Valuation processes, data, and systems within and outside Valuation and ensure the end-to-end integration. Engage IT resources to ensure business requirements are met and implement the proper technical solutions aligned with the business strategies. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Performs other duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Math, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics or related field required Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in Math, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics or related field preferred 0+ Years of actuarial experience in life insurance or life consulting required 1+ Years of actuarial experience in life insurance/reinsurance preferred 1+ Years IT-related experience preferred Advanced PC and technical skills, including database applications (Access, Oracle, SQL required or equivalent technology), spreadsheets, statistical programs and actuarial software (Prophet, MoSes, TAS, AXIS, or equivalent). required Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. required Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives. required Advanced oral and written communication skills. required Advanced interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to collaborate and liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines, and work well with all levels of management. required Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into implementable specifications and support the implementation of technical and business solutions. required Ability to work effectively with users in different time zones and regional offices. required Ability to compile, analyze, refine, and interpret large amounts of financial data/results and model projections. required Complex investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. required Competent knowledge and understanding of actuarial and accounting concepts. required Ability to well within a team environment and participate in department projects. required Working knowledge of Alteryx and PowerBI preferred At least two of P, FM, FAM, ALTAM, ASTAM, SRM, PA, or FAP1-5 actuarial exams completed (or IFoA Core Principles exams) Required Willingness to pursue FSA or FIA accreditation Preferred #LI-JL1 Ce à quoi vous pouvez vous attendre à RGA : acquérir des connaissances précieuses et de l’expérience au sein d’équipes diversifiées et auprès de collègues attentionnés du monde entier; profiter d’un environnement respectueux et accueillant qui favorise l’individualité et encourage la pensée novatrice; vous joindre aux esprits brillants et créatifs de RGA et tirer parti d’occasions professionnelles sans limite.
