Requirements Assistant Director of Facilities & Operations - Department of Athletics – Georgetown University Job Overview The Assistant Director of Facilities & Operations oversees the management and operations of all aspects of Georgetown University’s indoor and outdoor athletic events and operations for 30 varsity teams, including but not limited to facility preparation for practices, competitions, sports camps and clinics. Duties include but are not limited to: • Assist in the management of all University and external events that are hosted in athletics facilities and general event management • Oversee the game operations student staff • Assist with the master schedule for all athletics facilities, rental contracts, creating and distributing visitor’s team guide, and payment of officials • Serve as the primary liaison for rentals, outside groups, and camps/clinics • Manages additional responsibilities as assigned - for example, project management, facility maintenance and planning, and other necessary operations relating to proper Athletics operations Work Interactions The Assistant Director, reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director for Facilities, Events & Operations, supports the management and operation of all aspects of Georgetown University’s athletic events and operations for 30 varsity teams, including but not limited to facility preparation for practices, competitions, sports camps and clinics. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree • At least 3 years of Division I Intercollegiate Athletics or professional athletics event and operations experience • Strong communication skills – interpersonal, oral and written • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment • Valid driver’s license with good driving record and insurability • Willingness and availability to work weekends and evenings Work Mode: On Campus.
