About Us We’re a leading e-commerce store in the US. Our diverse product portfolio includes top-name brands, and we have thousands of positive reviews across trusted platforms, establishing ourselves as a reliable name in the industry. Opportunity With substantial monthly organic traffic, we aim to unlock even greater potential through a new content strategy focused on producing more, higher quality content for our US audience. The Content Editor will play a central role in ensuring our team of writers produces high-quality content, on time, and at volume. Our content team comes from diverse backgrounds, with some writers being native English speakers and others not. Your role is to QA blogs and make sure blogs fit US standards. This is a unique opportunity to significantly influence our blogging direction, have a measurable impact on our growth, and collaborate closely with senior marketing leaders. Please note that we have a content strategy in place. Bloggers will pitch blog title ideas to our marketing leaders. Full content briefs will not be required. Your role is focused on ensuring blogs meet quality standards and follow our QA process. Responsibilities • QA Process Management: Own the QA process for all blogs. Ensure there are no issues such as poor writing, grammar mistakes, typos, or potential PR risks. Actively suggest and implement edits without ownership of the writing process. • SEO Optimization: Ensure blogs follow SEO best practices, such as proper keyword usage, click worthy titles, tables of contents, section headings, or other optimizations. The team will be using a content optimization tool and you will help them achieve the highest possible score. • AI Content Review: Monitor the use of AI by writers. While we are fine using AI to speed up the writing process and fill knowledge gaps, content must be written for humans and avoid sounding like AI gibberish. • Media Review: Review graphics and visuals in blogs to ensure they are high-quality and on-brand. • Tone of Voice: Help writers find a suitable target audience and tone of voice for the blog they are writing. While we cater to a broad US market, individual blogs may have specific target personas. • Performance Tracking: Ensure bloggers log their output, enabling management to review publication metrics, including who published what, when, and overall quality. Qualifications • Native English Speaker: Ideally based in the US to understand American consumer preferences, and must write in clear, error-free English. • Proven Editing Skills: You have experience editing and improving content to engage readers. • SEO Knowledge: You understand how search engines work and can help bloggers optimize content to meet user intent and rank effectively. • Independent Worker: You can run the QA process without requiring tight supervision. The goal is for the content team—including you—to operate with minimal supervision. • Reliability: You’re a trusted partner for ensuring content is published on time, at volume, and with high quality. You’ll hold writers accountable and flag issues to management when necessary. • Collaborative and Humble: While you hold bloggers accountable, you respect their creative freedom. You’re a helpful resource in the QA process, not a bottleneck that takes over the blog writing process. Why Work With Us • Team up with a major, trusted e-commerce brand in the US. • Join a collaborative, global team passionate about quality content. • Enjoy competitive pay and the flexibility to work from anywhere. Next Steps If you’re interested, submit a personalized proposal explaining why you’re a fit for this role.
