Licensed Insurance Account Representative

We are looking to hire a Customer Service Representative for our busy office. This is not a remote position. NY State Property & Casualty Broker and/or Agents License required. Minimum of 5 years experience working in an Agency. Applicant must be familiar with all aspects of servicing and writing Commercial & Personal Lines. Must have reliable transportation. Responsibilities • Manage incoming calls and emails • Identify and assess customers’ coverage needs • Quoting & Issuing policies • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives and follow up to ensure resolution • Keep detailed records of customer and carrier interactions • Process policy changes, renewals, answer billing questions, etc. • Help clients with claims, gathering information, reporting and follow up • Take the extra mile to engage customers • And many others relative to this position Skills • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative • Strong phone communication and listening skills • Familiarity with various carrier websites for quoting and servicing accounts • Customer orientation with the ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows programs • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Health insurance • Paid time off Schedule: • Monday to Friday Supplemental Pay: • Commission pay Experience: • Insurance Agency: 5 years (Required) License/Certification: • NYS Insurance P&C Broker or Agents License (Required) Ability to Commute: • Kingston, NY (Required) Work Location: In person
