Frontend Director (Remote)

The company uses artificial intelligence to auto-generate first drafts of educational slides, videos, and homework. We are seeking a Front-End Director who is enthusiastic about web technologies and eager to develop AI that will impact the education of millions of students worldwide. Location: Embrace the flexibility of remote work, whether it's from the comfort of your home or a co- working space nearby, all within the India time zone. Key Responsibilities: • Provide vision and set technical direction for our front-end development. • Set up a culture and processes that enable quality front-end software development. This includes: • developing good product requirements documents in collaboration with the product management team • preparing schedules for releases and setting good intermediate milestones • setting up coding standards to be followed by developers • doing code reviews where developers get feedback to improve their skills • having good unit tests, good test coverage... and doing manual tests internally • making sure everything works well before giving the build to QA, in addition to providing a report on each feature and its algorithm and testing • Working on feedback from user testing and QA and improving the features • Hiring rockstar engineers Requirements: • The candidate needs to feel passionate about creating great products that get customers to say “wow”. Must have a proven track record of shipping quality products used by at least a million users, as a manager • At least 7 years of total experience with a minimum of 4 years in a management role. • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Strong experience with React and Redux frameworks. Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and responsive web design. • Since we are a company that creates great content using AI, we need a manager who understands what great content is. We need someone who has excellent English and is able to create content like presentations and reports well
