100% remote job Industrial Designer | Hays Recruitment | Australia Seeking for a creative Industrial Designer to develop/document custom-designed furniture. Your new company Your new employer is a highly regarded Interior Design studio that specialises in hospitality and commercial projects. Renowned for their contemporary design and highly detailed projects, they are seeking a mid-level designer or an up-coming designer to work on unique projects that are based in SEA, Europe and Australia. This involves the understanding of the culture, ethnicity, people, history and a lot more exciting factors and elements to work on, so it’s very exciting and different. Your new role Developing and documenting custom designed furniture (decorative joinery and objects) into buildable design. Responsible for the production of AutoCAD drawings and documentation, which form part of BAR Studio interior projects, and the ID and FF+E documentation packages. What you’ll need to succeed •... Qualification in Industrial Design, Furniture Design or equivalent • Min. 3-4 years’ of Industrial Design, Interior Design, Furniture Design experience • Excellent design communication • Strong organisational skills • Time Management – creating a schedule of tasks/time + set milestones • Proactive and able to problem-solve • Industry knowledge of furniture, material finishes and fabrics • Documentation skills • Proficient in suing Adobe Suite (Photoshop/InDesign), Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD.
