Smile Train is looking to hire an Associate, Program Safety, to join our HQ Programs team. The Associate, Program Safety, will report to the Director, Program Safety and is responsible for day-to-day administration of safety-related information and data across Smile Train’s global programs.
The Associate will be responsible for updating and maintaining safety-related databases, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data provided by Smile Train partners, reviewing the data to identify key data points and trends, as well as curating periodic updates for the relevant stakeholders such as Smile Train’s Medical Advisory Board and Medical Advisory Councils. The Associate will also assist with scheduling, coordination, and management of the different safety-related meetings and provide analyses into the data for internal stakeholders. The Associate will prepare data visualizations and presentations of safety data including updates and trends, and compile data for Smile Train’s internal oversight processes as well as select external initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented and passionate data enthusiast to help Smile Train track safety-related impact around the globe. This is a full-time remote position, starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
• Support the management of partner and perioperative patient safety-related data:
• Reviewing, validating and tracking safety-related data across Smile Train’s partner network.
• Identifying trends and areas for improvement and refinement in safety-related data.
• Regularly updating the safety-related databases and documentation.
• Responding to routine safety-related inquiries and requests, providing accurate information, and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members.
• Assisting Director, Programs Safety in the analysis and management of safety audit data, identifying trends and following up with the different stakeholders/partners
• Identifying opportunities for process/system improvement.
• Support the management of safety-related meetings and initiatives:
• Supporting the Director, Program Safety with coordination of the safety-related meetings and activities.
• Providing administrative support for safety-related audits and reviews.
• Providing well represented visual data and trends for internal and external stakeholder meetings and safety-related initiatives.
• Documenting and disseminating key actions following safety-related discussions and meetings.
• Supporting the Director, Program Safety with processing safety-related data on an ongoing basis:
• Preparing and reviewing data sets for discussion and review by colleagues.
• Cleaning and preparing data sets for prospective research initiatives.
• Supporting safety-related ad-hoc administrative projects, expert stakeholder meetings, and the development of programmatic presentations or process materials.
• Supporting data integrity by:
• Monitoring and assessing the accuracy of safety-related data.
• Ensuring completeness of safety-related data.
Qualifications
• An academic degree; experience in global health, healthcare safety and quality, or project management will be an added advantage.
• Excellent monitoring and evaluation skills.
• Excellent project management, time management and prioritization skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at any given time in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with both colleagues and partners in the field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is a must.
• Outgoing and engaging personality
• Demonstrable ability to work in a multi-cultural, diverse, and dispersed team.
• Ability to work independently.
