About Our Client Our Client is a leading provider of quality flooring solutions, known for its dedication to delivering exceptional service and superior products. As part of their ongoing growth, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join their Estimating Department. About the Role The Estimator plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely cost assessments for various projects. In this position, you will collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to create comprehensive project estimates. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities 1. Estimate Preparation: • Develop detailed cost estimates based on project specifications and client requirements. • Review and analyze plans, proposals, and specifications to determine material, labor, and time requirements. • Prepare takeoffs and quantity assessments for mid-sized projects. 2. Collaboration & Communication: • Work closely with senior estimators, project managers, and clients to understand project scope and goals. • Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing. 3. Data Management: • Maintain up-to-date project records, including cost data and assumptions used in estimates. • Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process. 4. Market Analysis: • Stay informed about market trends and pricing to ensure estimates reflect current industry standards. 5. Quality Control: • Verify the accuracy and completeness of all estimates before submission to ensure compliance with company protocols. Requirements • 1-3 years of experience in estimating, preferably within the flooring or construction industry. • Proficiency in estimating software and tools. • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks. • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities. • Familiarity with local market trends and pricing structures is a plus. Work Conditions • Salary: Competitive compensation based on experience. • Equipment: All necessary equipment will be provided. • Workstation: Your workstation should be set up in a safe and secure home environment with stable and reliable internet (minimum speed of 25 Mbps). • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, US Hours required.
