Senior Solutions Architect - Architecture Services and Security Client Industry: Healthcare IT Contract Terms: 6 Months (3x 6 Month Extensions Available) Hours: Full Time (40 Hours / week) Start Date: August 1st, 2024 Estimated End Date: January 31st, 2024 Work Location: Remote, Canada - must be willing and able to work PST Hours for duration of the Contract. Project Description: Project Services is responsible for delivering a wide range of IT infrastructure projects for the Health Authorities of British Columbia. Project Services is searching for a Solutions Architect with extensive industry experience to provide designing, estimating, technical consultation in conjunction with internal and external Health Authority partners and stakeholders. Services Required: The Solutions Architect is responsible for the overall technical design of the IT infrastructure projects, and mapping the business requirements to the Client systems / technical requirements. The Solutions Architect works as a team member along with the Portfolio Managers, Technical Project Managers, Architects and Technical Analysts, in order to design and deliver a complete solution for the customer. RESPONSIBILITIES: \tParticipate in requirements gathering, analysis, and design activities along with the Project Services Portfolio Manager(s) and Technical Project Managers \tParticipate and lead, when needed, design / technical meetings with the customers, internal subject matter experts and third-party vendors in order to gather technical specifications \tProduce architectural design document to match customer requirements \tProvide Architecture Oversight during implementation \tProvide current best practices, design decisions and solution alternatives as part of the architectural design documentation \tParticipate in design, documentation, review and delivery activities, in conjunction with the Solutions Architect, Portfolio Managers and Project Managers \tProvide technical information for project proposals \tWork with other Solutions and Enterprise Architects to align designs with the enterprise roadmaps Specific Qualifications or Experience Required: \tExcellent C-Level communication skills, written and oral \tStrong people and networking skills, building and growing relationships with senior stakeholders \tCreative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills \tComplex stakeholder engagement experience \tDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize requests, manage laterally and upwards \tDemonstrated ability to collect and analyze data, assess problems, and structure solutions \tAbility to drive and progress with minimal direction. Self-awareness and ability to assess personal performance \tAttention to detail and prioritizing tasks \tExperience with frameworks and business case development \tExperience planning for and managing organizational change Specific Qualifications or Experience Required: Required Experience: \tA minimum of eight (8) years of recent related experience in an IT Infrastructure Solutions Architect role in a large, complex Enterprise Organization \tExperience in designing complex IT infrastructure projects \tAbility to understand business requirements and convert them into solution design and specifications \tExperience in Microsoft Technologies (Desktop, Server, AD, ADFS, SQL, RDS etc.) \tBroad knowledge in different technologies (like Unix server, Storage, Virtualization, Database Citrix (XenApp, XenDesktop), Identity Management, Voice, Networking (wired/wireless)) \tKnowledge and experience with current architecture standards and industry best practices in various technologies and security \tProven technical consulting experience in large enterprises \tAbility to handle multiple projects at the same time \tStrong presentation and communication skills \tB.Sc. degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent preferred Additional Experience - Nice To Have: \tExperience in Healthcare IMIT \tExperience in developing IT design for facilities-related projects and DC migration projects \tExperience in latest technologies like Cloud (Azure, AWS), Big Data and Mobile Seniority Level Descriptions: \t Senior \t \t\tA Degree in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of six (6) years of related Consulting Category experience; or \t\tA Diploma in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of seven (7) years of related Consulting Category experience; or \t\tA Certificate in Consulting Category related disciplines and a minimum of eight (8) years of related Consulting Category experience; or \t\tAn absolute minimum of ten (10) years of directly related Consulting Category experience. \t \t EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
