We’re looking for an experienced communications specialist like you who is ready to share their knowledge and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you’ll use your consulting skills and experience to design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that support the Department of Defense. As a Strategic Communications Specialist on our team, you’ll develop creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients to enable them to effectively communicate their objectives, challenges, and initiatives. As the organizational advisor of all aspects of verbal and written communications, you’ll oversee and generate a range of media products from annual reports, fact sheets, briefs, talking points, and newsletters, to web site content, articles, and social media content. Your creative-thinking and business-oriented mindset will guide your client to inform key audiences through various types of media formats. You Have:   • 3+ years of experience in strategic or organizational communications, including social media, journalism, or public affairs • Experience developing communication strategies and plans, including conceptualizing and creating print, audio, video, or multi-media products • Ability to conduct stakeholder outreach and communication • Ability to identify communication challenges and provide innovative solutions that engage and resonate with target audiences • Ability to process or analyze information from multiple sources with frequent engagement from critical DoD stakeholders • Ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively in both written and spoken formats • Ability to use Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel • Secret clearance • Bachelors degree  Nice If You Have:   • Experience developing public affairs media products and external communication products, including videos, updates, photos, and news articles   • Experience measuring communication effectiveness with quantitative and qualitative metrics • Ability to learn or leverage existing and new digital tools to streamline processes and deliver high quality products, including workflow tools, knowledge management solutions, and artificial intelligence tools • Knowledge of DoD prepublication and security review (DOPSR), Public Affairs, and Legislative Affairs processes and policies • Ability to draft speeches and talking points for senior executives   • TS/SCI clearance  • Master’s degree Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
