Senior Java Developer - Remote Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our E-Merge team in a remote opportunity. The successful candidate will have experience in Java, J2EE and be familiar with the fintech environment. The role offers a competitive salary of approximately R800k per annum. Key responsibilities include: • Afrikaans language proficiency is required • Minimum 5 years of software development experience using Java • Experience in building and maintaining web applications with HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery • Familiarity with the MVC design pattern and frameworks such as Struts and Spring MVC • Proficiency in writing unit test cases with JUnit • Experience in building RESTful Web Services using JSON • Familiarity with JPA and PostgreSQL database • Experience with version control systems like GitHub • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and principles This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and collaboration skills.
