Senior Infrastructure Architect in the Western Cape (permanent and not remote)

Our client in the Asset Management arena in the Western Cape is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join there dynamic infrastructure team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the hybrid IT infrastructure, focusing on SQL database support, and migration to and support of Azure infrastructures. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of system administration, networking, cloud services, and SQL databases. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems, both on-premises and in the cloud. Non negotiables are: • Bachelor’s degree in IT • 15 years’ experience in IT Infrastructure engineering, including substantial experience with SQL, database administration and cloud / Azure and Cyber security • Azure architecture certification • SQL database certifications • MCSE or MCDBA certification • High level Windows OS and networking protocol... expertise • Database Administration Associate • Expert knowledge and experience with VMWare (virtualization) backup tech like VEEAM • Strong scripting skills such as PowerShell • Strong Cyber security experience Please contact portiadk@paracon.co.za / 0716410307
