The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services Team: RTX has an opening for a Digital Early Engagement Project Manager - Human Resources and Payroll position (Sr. Manager, Business Systems and Transformation). You will be joining our Enterprise Application Services (EAS) Value Management Office (VMO). The role of the project manager is focused on the early stages of the project lifecycle including solution definition and cost and schedule planning. The VMO is part of an enterprise shared services organization that is responsible for leading significant business transformation application projects that make positive impacts across the company. Projects span the RTX businesses, Corporate Functions, and Enterprise Services, supporting both Enterprise as well as business-specific solutions. This position will be responsible for our portfolio of projects in the Human Resource and Payroll areas. Using our corporate project management processes and methods, you will lead cross-functional multi-business teams, collaborating at all levels of the Enterprise to set the foundation for project success and satisfied partners plus initiating and planning the project and enabling the internal partner organization to achieve their objectives and realize business value. What You Will Do: • Lead project initiation, definition, planning, and coordination of key strategic initiatives, in partnership with the Business Relationship Manager (BRM) and VMO Portfolio Manager. • Coordinates with BRM, senior leaders and executives to capture business requirements used to define scope and funding needs; establish business case outlining project investments • Identify and leverage appropriate technical and business resources needed for successful project planning and to accomplish project initiation objectives • Follow established processes and procedures and influence policy, practice and procedure • Define and assess project risk • Lead regular reviews with customers and stakeholders, including senior DT and business leaders, during the project initiation phase • Actively manage internal/external suppliers in decision and planning process for solution definition • Travel up to 5% Qualifications You Must Have: Typically a minimum of 10+ years' in the digital project management arena and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 7+ years' related work experience. • 3+ years' knowledge of Human Resource and Payroll functional areas including experience with applications and business processes used by the functions to deliver value to their customers. • 3+ years' experience developing business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for DT spending and initiatives, including use of Portfolio and Solution Epics • Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract Qualifications We Prefer: • Solution Delivery experience with Agile frameworks like SAFe and DevOps • Familiarity with phase gating processes and bridging to agile execution • Demonstrated skill working with technical teams to define and implement DT solution architectures, including software development, software configuration and integration, and DT infrastructure implementations • Project Management certification (PMP) • Project Portfolio Management (PPfM) • SAFe or similar certifications • Lean certifications • Familiarity with Planview, Jira, & Confluence Learn More & Apply Now! The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
